Myros - Cultures (Moratek)

A recently-established sronghold – by dwarven standards, anyway – Moratek was founded by a splinter group of the Oringard dwarves. Unlike the Dwarves of Oringard, the dwarves of Moratek believe that the dwarven race must associate with and take an active role in the affairs of other races, even if the consequences may be dire, as they were with the Ancient Empire of Nur.

Unfortunately for the Moratek dwarves, not all dwarven crafts were represented in the clans that left Oringard, which created certain dependencies on the humans of the Clurgan Clans.

The crafts which are well-represented in the Moratek Clans include stonemasonry, metalworking, weaponsmithing and brewing, most of which were talents the Clurgan Clansmen lacked; a natural trade relationship developed between the two races, and the customs, ideas, languages and even the religions of the two groups have heavily intermingled.
